Kindling is a top-down action roguelite where you play as a witch escaping a haunted forest. The game features one-hit-kill mechanics with instant death for both you and enemies. You use fire magic and place campfires to navigate through darkness while collecting ember fragments for permanent upgrades between runs. Progress involves breaking magical seals and uncovering story elements across multiple attempts. Key mechanics include limited visibility, shield-based protection, and skill-based positioning combat.
